HALO FAQHALO Owners Manual: Detailed pictures of the HALO Assembly |
Q - What paint can I use?
A - So far, the only paint we found that won't work with the HALO is black shelled, or half black shelled paint. The sensor is unable to detect the black shell due to it's IR absorbency
Q - How do I handle jamming?
A - Oblong paint will cause serious jamming problems. If a jam occurs the LED will flash red/green. Turn the loader off, clear the jam, then turn the loader back on.
Q - What do I do if my HALO is too big to fit the feed neck adapter.
A - We intentionally made the feed neck on the larger side so that everyone can get a good custom fit. Take some 100 grit sandpaper and sand the feed neck down. Check the fit frequently so you don't remove too much plastic and end up having a loose fit.
Q - What kind of batteries can I use?
A - Any type of AA's can be used. From NiMH rechargeable to the cheap discount brands. Lithium's provide the longest life and are very light. Do not attempt to use another size battery such as 9 volts. They can not provide the current required for optimum performance.
Q - What should I use to clean my HALO?
A - We recommend either just a clean damp cloth or Plexus plastic polish. For any broken paint in the loader, speed mops work best. Do not use water to clean out the internal part of the loader.
Q - How do I turn on/off the HALO A loader.
A - The button is a tactile switch. Do not use your fingernail or any sharp object to press it, your finger will work, even with gloves on. Try practicing without gloves at first to get a feel for the sequence. To turn the loader on press and hold the button for 1 second let off then press and hold for one second again. To turn the loader off, just press and hold the button down until the LED comes on red, then let off. The reason we went with this type of switch is because so many people complained about other loaders getting accidentally turned on in their gear bags and running the batteries down. To check and see if your loader is on, you can press and then release the button once and the green LED to should come on indicating that the loader is powered up.
Q - My HALO won't shut off when there are balls in the feed neck.
A - Clean the sensor in the feed neck. If there is any paint or shell covering the eye, the loader sees this as not having any balls in the neck.
